Researchers perceive a direct link between the
consumption of soft drinks and the risk of childhood obesity. Projected
estimates demonstrate 25 percent of obese children suffering from
glucose intolerance. Children who have type 11 diabetes due to obesity
might end up losing 17-26 years of their life.
Children and the young crowd in US consume soft
drinks in good amounts and become victims of obesity related diseases.
A typical American teenager consumes about 300 calories a day from
soft drinks which has 20 teaspoos of sugar. It's unfortunate that
children tend to prefer soft drinks over milk or fruit juice. Nutritional
deficiencies are common among American school going children.
