Acomplia gets rising hope from Aetna October 12, 2006 Even after not having any meeting scheduled with FDA Advisory panel Acomplia is getting good reviews from known persons in the medicine industry. On 12th October chief pharmacist of Aetna inc. which is indulged in providing a big part of prescription drugs in the medicine market has said that he have very optimistic approach about the most anticipating diet drug acomplia and hope that it will get its pay from insurers once it get approval for sale in US. Mark Rubino, Aetna's chief pharmacy officer told Reuters “This is the drug we have all been waiting for” at the Obesity Congress hosted by the Cleveland Clinic Bariatric and Metabolic Institute. It is not like that Sanofi want to get approval for acomplia as an anti obesity drug but also as an aid for other cardio metabolic diseases. According to the chief pharmacist of Aetna the acomplia data available previously is much sturdier than the drugs right now we have in the market. On this Rubino said "It looks great," Also Aetna doesn’t want to overlook the FDA approval and would like to continue with the studies of safety and effects of acomplia prior making its recommendation about the use of acomplia for weight loss.
