One in Four Australian Children Overweight, Health

Small studies conducted in Australia during the
past few years unveils, one in four Australian children are overweight
and one in five obese. Professor Hills, who wrote a paper on childhood
obesity said, around 60 percent of the adults in Australia are overweight.
There has also been an increase in diseases related
to obesity like cardiovascular disease, type-two diabetes and problems
such as osteoarthritis. Experts blame it on the parents who don't
have the time to cook and resort to junk food every day. Children
also follow the same trend and end up falling under the obese list
risking lives to many problems related to health. Doctors are now
focusing on overweight or obese children in order to create awareness
about the growing concerns of obesity epidemic.
